A brand new ~limited edition~ four song cassette to be sold when Yeah You support Dan Deacon in London on June 16th, with any remaining copies going online in the coming weeks.

Yeah You create totally improvised pop music - constantly composing, recording, doing, and documenting. In contrast to a traditional tendency in free improvised music to explore the margins and peripheries of music and sound, Yeah You use improv to create spontaneous and immediate pop music (in the broadest and best sense), striving to articulate what pop needs to be at any given moment. As a listener it’s continually fascinating to hear arrangements, melodies, riffs, and lyrics take shape in real time.

The new tape - Ort - consists of four songs pulled from a purple patch of ad hoc recording sessions, captured live in transit whilst driving around Newcastle in their trusty people carrier come studio. Good Food is excited to be offering up another fleeting glimpse into the Yeah You vault.
